So it’s been almost a month since the last post, we have gotten some emails and messages from folks wondering what’s up. Well it’s simple, we took a mini vacation! This process of building the van and prepping has been a huge undertaking and has been an emotional roller coaster. Some days it’s the most awesome experience ever and others it feels like Chinese water torture that will never end. So we decided to take a month off and focus on other aspects of preparation and gasp… to have a little non-van related fun. I am actually writing this from sunny and humid Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

But next week it’s officially back to work. We will start by finishing up the electrical in the van and the job we are dreading which is taking out our lower battery and rewiring it. To do that we have to dismantle all of our main electrical connections at the battery box…Yay! But it’s time to get back to it. We are rested and excited to make the final push and be complete. Expect to hear more from us over the next several weeks.

We’ve put a final stake in the ground 6/13/13, we’re in Europe with the van for the trip start!
