This is a quick update to say that I have the solar system programmed, and running in the van! The system, like most things in the van, is probably a bit overkill, but it’s awesome.

The solar charge controller is pretty trick. It’s fully customizable, so we set all of the charge points perfectly for our battery system. It also has networking built in so you can log into a webpage and see how much power is being generated and the current status of the charging. Here is a screenshot of my iPhone showing the charging status. Freaking so cool! And for the solar geeks out there, it was a severely cloudy day and the panel was partially covered in snow.
